Dr. Michael Gossett

Dealing with migraines daily for 5 years and no one was able to help:

What is life like today after beginning care?

Today we’re feeling about 80% better. The headaches have calmed down to about 1 per week instead of daily and no low back discomfort. I am able to do more things with my kids and more energy. I feel more rested after sleeping and am almost a new person.

What was life like before you started care?

For about 5 years I lived with extreme headache pain. I would wake every morning and go to sleep every night with it. I was unable to focus, think or even see straight half the time. This was very frustrating for me. I thought I would have to be this way forever.

Where did you see your life going before beginning care?

Life was standing still and wasn’t able to do much without the headaches. Being in pain all day long was tough.  My husband and kids could always tell when it was the worst.

What is the most important thing you have learned while under care?

Don’t ever give up! Our body is a great machine and with the right care it can be fixed.

What words of advice would do you have for anyone wondering about chiropractic and whatour office could do for them?

Dr. Gossett and staff are very knowledgeable and understanding. With a little technology and a pair of great hands , they will get you back to yourself in no time!

A patient suffering with Migraine/tension headaches for 22 years:

What was life like before you started care at Dakota Family Chiropractic?

"I have suffered with migrain/tension headaches for over 22 years. I rarely went more than a few days without a headache. I had tried the conventional treatments, but I wanted to find the root cause of my headaches, not just cover up the symptoms with medication. After a while even the medications were not effective."

What is like like today after beginning care?

"The frequency of my headaches has been greatly reduced! Because of that I have an abundance of energyand am able to enjoy the activities that I love. I wake up fully rested and ready for the day. I feel much more in tune with my body and have an increased sense of health."

Where did you see your life going before beginning care?

"I had become very frustrated with the way I was feeling. My headaches made me very tired and I would frequently have to nap after work or school instead of doing things I enjoyed. Occasionally, I would miss work because the pain was so severe."

What is the most important thing you learned while at DFC?

"I was always nervous to try Chiropractic care because I was afraid that it would hurt or not help at all. I quickly learned that Dr. Gossett's technique is gentle yet very effective. The nerve scans are also great because you can see tangible evidence that the treatments are working."

What words of advice do you have for anyone wondering about Chiropractic and/or what our office can do for them?

"I would recommend Dr. Gossett to anyone suffering with headaches. Mine have improved 100%. His technique is gentle and painless. The payment options are very reasonable. He explains what Chiropractic care entails at the consultation in a comfortable and relaxed setting."

"When I had started care with Dakota Family Chiropractic I was having headaches a couple times per week and wasn't able to focus on my family when these would happen. After a few adjustments to my neck I could start to notice the headaches get better and then they were gone. I am so glad I was referred to Dr. Gossett and DFC to help!

" We started care here due to our daughter who was having colicky issues when she was 3 months old. I had heard that chiropractic an help with that and had asked who I could trust with my daughter to help. My friend had said she had taken her son to Dr. Gossett and he was gentle and explained what was going on with the Nervous System scans. We had no idea that chiropractic could help."

Jodi L.

"My son was was experiencing ear infections since he was 3 months old and we were doing the medical route for treatments and wasn't satisfied with the results. They would come back about every 2 months or so and we thought there has to be another way. We talked to my daycare gal and she said that they take thier kids to Dr. Gossett and he has helped tremendously with them so we decided to call and make an appointment. After a few adjustments we could tell right away what a difference it made. All I can say is that if you have kids have them checked by a chiropractor."

Erin M.

"I have been experiencing back pain for years working in construction. I have gone to other chiropractors and have gotten good relief. Dr' Gossett took the time to explain to me why it has always come back. The scans were very helpful to see exactly how my body was reacting to the things I do everyday."

  • An Apple a Day . . .

What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness? Or is it, instead, a combination of all of these qualities, plus the natural goodness derived from the apple's secret ingredients — phytonutrients? If this were a multiple choice quiz, the answer would be "all of the above". Importantly, in addition to possessing numerous appealing physical qualities, apples contain an abundance of health-promoting biochemicals known as phytonutrients.1,2 These specific organic molecules are derived not only from apples but many other fresh fruits and vegetables, and help power the immune system, protect against cancer, maintain healthy eyes, and assist cells in clearing out metabolic waste products such as free radicals. ...
