Chiropractic Shown to Lower Blood Pressure
"This procedure has the effect of not one, but two blood-pressure medications given in combination," study leader George Bakris, MD. "And it seems to be adverse-event free.  We saw no side effects and no problems," adds Bakris, director of the University of Chicago hypertension center.

America's #8 Most Popular Drug
The #8 most popular prescribed drug in 2009 according to Forbes Magazine (May, 2010):
Amlodipine (high blood pressure)-Over 50 million prescriptions.  The more common, non-generic name for this popular drug is NORVASC.
We present this information for you if you find that you MUST take medication.  Now you can be aware of the do's and don'ts:
So what do you need to know about this very popular drug?
Overdose symptoms may include rapid heartbeats, severe dizziness, and fainting.  If you experience these effects, it is recommended by www.drugs.com to seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222. drug.
Both grapefruit juice and pomegranate juice may increase the adverse effects of this drug. (Again, seems silly but it you are on this drug, you should know not to consume these fruits.)
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic Norvasc reaction:
Difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.  Call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:
• feeling like you might pass out;
• swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet;
• pounding heartbeats or fluttering in your chest; or
• chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling.
 This is not a complete list…

The Bottom Line…The Bottom Line…The Bottom Line…
So, now we know that you can risk taking drugs with known adverse effects to try and artificially lower your blood pressure or you can make some lifestyle changes that are heart healthy.  The heart healthy lifestyle changes, including specific upper cervical chiropractic care, can take the place of TWO heart drugs without the side effects so common to those drugs.  Now that you know you have a choice…which makes the most sense to you?

  • An Apple a Day . . .

    What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness? Or is it, instead, a combination of all of these qualities, plus the natural goodness derived from the apple's secret ingredients — phytonutrients? If this were a multiple choice quiz, the answer would be "all of the above". Importantly, in addition to possessing numerous appealing physical qualities, apples contain an abundance of health-promoting biochemicals known as phytonutrients.1,2 These specific organic molecules are derived not only from apples but many other fresh fruits and vegetables, and help power the immune system, protect against cancer, maintain healthy eyes, and assist cells in clearing out metabolic waste products such as free radicals. ...
